Christmas morning at Grandma and Grandpa's

As I mentioned on my blog Leah was a pro on Christmas morning. She assisted Grandpa in being Santa and handing out presents and then when it was her turn to open one she would sit in the middle of the room and open her present so we could all see. She would throw wrapping paper away and she helped people with their presents too. What a girl! I was a little surprised that she would be so into Christmas this year, it was so fun.

When the excitement got to be a little too much, or maybe opening gift after gift was too boring Leah would just wonder around the house. I found her one time in my Dad's office playing with the fun things on his desk.

I wish I knew Clinton, but I know Trav

My good friend Travis looks a lot like the darling Clinton Kelly. I have always thought that. What do you think? Too bad Trav doesn't have a $5ooo Bank of America card with my name on it. P.S. Make sure you check out Clinton's website....too cute (you can check out Trav's too, not as cute).

stage fright

I was in a children's singing group when I was young. I remember 2 things about it 1) we sang the "Animal crackers in my soup" song, and 2) this performance. Here I am all ready to perform:
And here I changed my mind about the whole thing:

I included a picture of Natalie from the same day. I'm sure you noticed the ruffles on the vest, the bangs, and the (almost) side ponytail that was way before it's time.

Leah gets all the fun

I love that when the family is together, anywhere I go in the house, I can find someone entertaining -or being entertained by- Leah. I walked into the living room to find Jacob and Rob swinging Leah (oh yeah, Jacob and Lisa came to visit us... surprise!).

I wish I had recorded earlier (this is was at least the 4th swing), she would land on the couch, sit up and exclaim flatly, "More." Listen for her saying my name, it sure is cute - finally she says it, mine was the last name she learned.

Latona Ave NE, between 40th & 42nd

For Lisa and Jacob: Found it! (you were right, Lisa, it's on one of those streets that doesn't go all the way through)

For everyone else: I wish you could see this in real life.

Inter- and intra-rater reliability in the interpretation of treatment terms and positions for treatment of dysphagia

If the title of this post makes you want to poke out your eyeballs, then you know a little of how it feels to write the proposal for the hypothetical research study. And just in case you're still wondering...
