la fete!

La fete de la francaise! we had a french party! jenaca coombs came over to make us a french meal, it was delicious. we labeled things around the house with their french words, we even labled le bebe, le pere and la mere. we had a good time and ate a delicious french cooked meal.

lovin it!

my friends Charity and Cisily dyed my hair red last night, it was a team effort because us Farrar's have thick hair. We were going to buy dye for Cisily and in the process of choosing her a color i decided to do something as well. I have always wanted to, but was nervous because roots scare me. So to solve wanting to do it and being afraid to, I bought a wash out color. So in a few weeks it will fade, but then i can just do it again if i want. the color turned out great, the pictures of course aren't perfectly what it looks like. i like it because at first glance it just looks like my normal dark hair color then you see its tinted red. im a fan. 

the diamond people

This picture makes my hands look a little scary - but isn't it a beautiful ring?! Because you can't really tell in the pictures - the diamonds just go half-way around and there is miligrain on all edges and in between the two levels of circle diamonds. People have been asking who picked it out - we did a lot of ring shopping and this was one of my favorites, all of them really similar. He made the final selection.

Have you met my fiance?

In no particular order:
a) Rob is funny. His clever humor is the first thing I liked about him.
b) Rob is sweet. He says nice things to me, and about me.
c) Rob is handsome. I check him out when he's not looking.
d) Rob is smart. He sounds smart and acts smart.
e) Rob is cool. He can hold his own with the cool kids.
f) Rob is good. Reads his scriptures and everything.
g) Rob listens. Except when he's driving in traffic, but he apoligizes for that.
h) Rob is hip. He likes me anyway.
i) Rob is humble. I wouldn't want you to think he thought any of this about himself.
j) Rob is patient. He would have to be.
k) Rob is impressive. He has done some pretty noteworthy things and pursues a ton of interests.
l) Rob is a geek. In so many ways.
m) Rob is great to be with. I don't know anyone that would disagree.
n) Rob is a Nyland. For that, I am very grateful.
o) Rob is a good teammate. I was looking for one of those.

what do you call the cord that connects your camera to your computer?

I lost the cord that came with my camera a while ago and I may have lost the cords that belong to other members of the family. So - this is my reason I haven't been posting, I like this blog as a way to show off any fun and/or interesting things I do, but I can't really do that without a camera/computer cord (whatever it's called).

Even though I can't post about fun/interesting things I do, I can post about this new fun/interesting way of eating my vegetables! Do you know about these bags? They're amazing, they're reusable (= a good value), and I just read about how you can even use them to cook meat. Sometimes my veggies are over-steamed, but I'm going to blame that on me because I'm not the best at following exact instructions. I think you should buy them.

Easter Dinner was at Mom and Dad's house this year. Some of the Farrars came and we had such great time together and of course ate delicious food, a lot of it. We saw our cousin Josh whom we haven't see for years, that was probably one of the highlights. We have a good family.
